TurningPoint PowerPoint Polling for Mac Issue

Clients with the latest version of Microsoft Office 2016 Mac may be experiencing issues with TurningPoint’s PowerPoint Polling environment. Microsoft Office 2016 Mac v15.25 released a 64-bit platform which is not supported by TurningPoint at this time. Clients still utilizing the 32-bit platform or TurningPoint for PC will not be affected by this issue.

 

For the time being, clients with the latest version of Microsoft Office 2016 Mac can use the Anywhere Polling option within TurningPoint. This option allows presenters to ask polling questions over top of any environment. View these instructions to start using Anywhere Polling.

 

Our teams are working diligently on an update that will allow for Microsoft Office 2016 Mac v15.25 to work seamlessly with TurningPoint Cloud’s PowerPoint Polling environment. Clients will be notified of a solution as soon it is available.

TurningCloud v2.3.7 Release

Turning Technologies is excited to accounce the release of TurningCloud v2.3.7.

Notes for TurningCloud v2.3.7 include:

  • Single sign-on now has the ability to populate role

Web Polling Initial Release

Turning Technologies is excited to announce the initial release of Web Polling. Web Polling allows presenters to create and deliver interactive polling questions online without downloading a desktop application. Presenters can quickly and easily access the software directly by visiting https://polling.turningtechnologies.com/. With Web Polling, presenters create multiple choice questions to deliver to participants’ web-enabled devices through the mobile response polling application, ResponseWare.

TurningCloud v2.3.1 Release

Turning Technologies is excited to announce the release of TurningCloud v2.3.1.

Notes for TurningCloud v2.3.1:

  • SSO (Shibboleth) workflow additional enhancements include:
    • Setting/option to not allow users to change their first name, last name, email, market type and country pulled from SSO information
    • Market type and country will be set to Higher Ed and USA
    • A direct link for a custom URL, retrievable by an admin on the organization tab

ResponseWare v2.6.0 Release

Turning Technoloiges is exicted to announce the release of ResponseWare v2.6.0 for Android and iOS.

 

Notes for ResponseWare v2.6.0 include:

  • Self-Paced Polling support for edited response storage 
  • Stores response if user navigates away from question without submitting response
  • Stores submitted response and revised response if un-submitted
  • Icons added for edited response storage to carousel, question list, and un-answered question display: 
    • Edited but un-submitted response – Carousel shows white with solid bottom corner
    • Submitted response with edited answer – Carousel shows green with filled icon in bottom corner
  • Updated icon for Send and Reset buttons

Insight 360 Cloud Mobile Edition Resolution

Turning Technologies released a patch for Insight 360 Cloud Mobile Edition users that experienced issues with the student app and web access. With this patch, users will be able to leverage the student app and web access seamlessly as before. While not required, it is highly recommended that users update to Insight 360 Cloud v3.4.1. Thank you for your patience.

Insight 360 Cloud Mobile Edition Issue Update

There has been an update for Insight 360 Cloud Mobile Edition users that may have experienced issues with the student app and web access. Our development teams have found a resolution that will update the server and will not require an update with the desktop application. We will be offering a desktop update and it is strongly recommended that users update, but older versions will work as expected once the server change is in place. We will notify customers as soon as the fix is in place, as well as when the desktop update is available. Thank you again for your continued understanding and patience.

Insight 360 Cloud Mobile Edition Issue

Insight 360 Cloud Mobile Edition users will experience issues with the student portion. Users with the mobile edition that try to enable mobile settings for students to join through the application or web access will see this portion of the software grayed out. Students using the Insight 360 Cloud Student App or Web Access will be unable to connect to the instructor. Please note this only affects our premium licensed users.

We apologize for the inconvenience this issue may cause. Our development teams are working as quickly as possible to resolve this issue, with an anticipated update available this week. The update will be required and users will be notified when it becomes available.  Thank you for your understanding and patience with this matter.
