Updates Regarding Intermittent ResponseWare Session Issues - 3/4

UPDATE:  After a patch was installed last week to aid in the diagnosis and correction of the identified ResponseWare issues, our team has made several configuration adjustments that have tested well and have not produced the issues since implementation.  Further testing is still required, but results are promising and our team is confident the current adjustments will continue to experience positive momentum towards a complete resolution.  Please note that our team continues to work diligently together and with field experts to provide a reliable and stable ResponseWare environment.

Three identified issues with ResponseWare are currently affecting TurningPoint Cloud and TurningPoint 5 ResponseWare sessions and ResponseWare Student App usage. For instructors currently using TurningPoint Cloud or TurningPoint 5 with ResponseWare, users may experience the following issues: 1). polling is open and responses are not being received, 2.) polling closes and chart does not display and 3.) ResponseWare feedback is not displayed.

Updates Regarding Intermittent ResponseWare Session Issues - 2/27

UPDATE:  The ResponseWare teams have recently experienced testing success with a new configuration to address the identified issues. A stress test will be conducted today to assess if the combination can be deployed to a live environment.  Simultaneously, the teams are also working with experts to deploy potential fixes to address core of the issues on our internal, development environment. 

A ResponseWare v2.1.2 patch was deployed on Wednesday, 2/18 in order to assist our ResponseWare team in further diagnosing and troubleshooting the issues occurring within the ResponseWare environment.  Please note that our teams continue to working diligently to correct the identified ResponseWare issues and expect to have a fix ASAP.

Turning Technologies is announcing the discontinuation of support of QuestionPoint, an item bank of standards-based questions sorted by grade and subject.  QuestionPoint content is offered free of charge with purchases of TurningPoint student response systems.

QuestionPoint content will be available to download from our website until April 30, 2015.  However, Turning Technologies will continue to offer support for use of TurningPoint with QuestionPoint content.  

Turning Technologies feels that the continued development and support of the company’s ExamView Assessment Suite, ExamView Learning Series and latest release ExamView Cloud, offers advanced features and content in order to meet customer needs.  Turning Technologies believes the resources required to maintain the legacy application can be better allocated to enhance existing and develop new products that better fulfill market needs.

ResponseCard XR2 Firmware v2.2.1 Release

Turning Technologies is happy to announce the release of new ResponseCard XR2 firmware, v2.2.1.  Firmware has been simplified to add a commonly requested feature.

Enhancements:

  • Added ability to lock RF channel

All new ResponseCard XR2 orders will ship with the new firmware. Firmware is only available for new ResponseCard XR2 devices.  XR2 devices previously purchased will not be able to update to this firmware.
